So good! Had the Hogs and Chicks bagel and espresso. Very fresh, everything you want in a bagel and then better!!

Just ok. Everything bagel ok. I'm a newyorker. Everything bagel needs salt in the everything mix. They also need to cut back on the garlic in the mix. Ordered the cowgirl. Special breakfast bagel. The egg? Pre-made rubber egg. If you charge $8 for a bagel sandwich it must have a fresh egg!

Nice food. Very friendly staff. Hogs and chicks bagel was delicious. Garlic bagel and coffee was nice too. Just a little expensive, rest was good. Overall, satisfied.

One of the best stops in Rapid City!... great fresh variety of bagels with nice selection of spreads. Cute specials and good bagel sandwiches. Vegan and allergy friendly as well.

The workers obviously dont want to be here and it shows. They were out of pita chips and didnt even say anything about it when getting our to go order. So we just didnt get any. When we got home and realized one of our sandwiches was made wrong with lettuce, we went back. They kindly picked off most of the lettuce and opened a small bag of chips to give us a small compensation for the lack of pita chips. Im not going back.

One of the best bagel place I have ever been in. People here are very nice, I recommend this place.

The bagels are not bad....no better than average. The service is nothing special with a few impatient grouchy ladies behind the counter. Overall acceptable for a quick bagel stop. However, it was the $16 for 4 bagels with cream cheese that was a bit over the top! If you stop here for a coffee and bagel don't expect to get out without spending what you might for a nice sit-down breakfast. If you take home a dozen and a cream cheese...your total will be over $23....insane!

Wow- this place is WAY over priced $11.46 for one bagel sandwich?? .40 per veggie you choose, and the pricing to build your own sandwich isn't even listed on the menu. If I would have known one slice of tomato was .40, I would have probably skipped. My sandwich was mediocre. Definitely not worth the money

Traveling through town and looking for a quick breakfast before hitting Mt Rushmore and the Mickelson Trail. Bagels are made with flour from the grain mill down the street and local is good! They have a fluffy rather than chewy texture which is less NY style, but very good.

I am not a bagel fan in the first place, so I can't say whether theirs are exceptionally good or bad. The spinach parmesan bagel I had was decent. My husband loved this place and would probably rate it much higher than I do. So take that for whatever it's worth. He had the veggie salad which he really liked, but the counter staff said it was their last week to offer salads (?!) anyway. I got the "Urban Cowboy" breakfast bagel sandwich and it consisted of roast beef along with a nicely cooked egg, some bell pepper, cheese, and horseradish mayo. The roast beef was nothing special, it seemed like inexpensive deli lunch meat to me. The menu board said the sandwich came with sprouts on it but there were none. I was satisfied by my meal and to be sure, it was tasty, but for eight dollars (not including a drink) I honestly would have expected some fruit, a pickle, or a small order of chips...something...I know being from the Midwest I am used to lower prices, but I thought this was along the lines of chains but with a little less value. The decor looked extremely modern and cute for 1994, not so much for 2014. It was comfortable enough but I kind of felt duped and the overall price of our meal just seemed a little bit nuts to me. I also found it a bit disappointing that both my husband and I asked for a few different things that were unavailable or they were out of...it was around lunchtime on a weekday, so that may have been part of the problem. I'm really not sure. I didn't totally love this place but I'm glad I got to try it.

They don't have gluten free so I got the egg with pepper jack melted on top and roast beef. It was really good, they use high end thick roast beef not the typical deli stuff. Coffee was good too.

Excellent bagels and nice variety. The staff (?owner?) was just delightful and helpful and built us some fantastic sandwiches -- made recommendations to our original requests. We'd go back there again if we lived nearby!

What a find in cowboy country! Whole wheat bagel was excellent, if $1.49. The place has about a dozen cream cheese options, lots of toppings like capers and cucumber. I had a lox sandwich that was very good. The place could use some remodeling. As you approach the counter to order, you walk over a throw rug that covers an electrical cord. On the side is an area with some old couches, ala '60s coffee house, and next to that is an alcove with a few unusual gift items. The restaurant was well-staffed when we got there. A little confusing, because after we ordered with the gals behind the bagel counter, we saw a sign that said order to our left with another gal who was at the cash register. Coffee was good, and you get refills for only 50 cents. The juice selection is limited to only bottles in the fridge, and the bottled orange juice was pretty awful. I like when a breakfast place offers fresh juices or even better bottled options

I had a yummy onion bagel with onion and chive cream cheese. I was there at 7:30 with a friend and it didn't get busy until about 8:30, then it was packed! It's definitely a local favorite :) The staff was slightly brusque, and it was my first time at this eatery so I didn't know what I was doing, and I felt like they were slightly annoyed by my naïveté. My friend loved her highlander grogg; it had a nutty flavor. She said she like to buy it to brew at home. All in all, I recommend

Seriously awesome! While my boyfriend and I were in town visiting from Philly we wanted something quick and delicious to fuel us before we went to Mount Rushmore.. And this hit the spot. Literally any bagel sandwich combination made with the freshest ingredients and an array of homemade cream cheese!! I won't fault them for their lack of pork roll.. (I guess that's a Philly/jersey thing?) Anyways, you won't regret stopping by!

Stopped in on our road trip across the country. Very cute place, super nice workers, and fresh bagels. Lots of different options too, things you don't normally see - not only on bagels but also different types of smears. Yummy. Hit the spot for a quick breakfast on the road.

With all the garbage my partner and I ran into while in Rapid City this place was a safe haven. They have an amazing selection of bagels that they make all in house. They have an even more impressive variety of cream cheeses that they also make in-house! As usual I got a pumpnickel bagel, tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, sprouts, and carrots. All of my veggies were fresh and the bagel was hot, just out the oven. Thank you for being built!

Best bagels ever! Baked to perfection. Chewy but not overly with a nice outside crunch. Very fresh tasting. The cream cheese is out of this world. You can tell its homemade with fresh ingredients. Many coffee options as well. If we weren't pressed for time I would have sat and enjoyed the morning at this kitschy place. This place is a must when in Rapid City or Mt. Rushmore. I still crave my bagel from here.

This place is worth every penny. Delicious bagels, lots of choices, hot coffee, and totally chilled out atmosphere. I don't live around here, but if I did, I would eat here more often than I care to admit...

If they had ANY competition, I think they would go out of business in no time flat. The breakfast bagel sandwiches are okay but I think I caught them on a bad day. Called the order in ahead of time, they hadn't even started my order by the time I arrived. Pretty sure they did not toast my bagels like I asked and everything was cold by the time I got home, which is a 10-minute drive at best. VERY disorganized and inefficient.

Not a ton on the menu, but what there is - is DELICIOUS! The bagel sandwiches are delicious, and the service is always friendly and inviting!

Definitely the best bagels in Rapid but I would say they were just average on a nationwide scale. They do also have a great selection of cream cheese that they make themselves. What bugs me about this place is now much they gouge you for the cream cheese. I know that's standard for bagel joints but it drives me crazy when a bagel costs $1 but adding cream cheese to it cost another $2

This is a great place! I ordered the nova lox sandwich. The onion bagel was perfectly fresh and toasted exactly right, the cream cheese was just slightly melted, there was just the right amount of nova lox on the sandwich and the capers really put the whole thing over the top! Kinda spendy but absolutely perfect!

My dad and I stop here for breakfast after seeing Mt. Rushmore and we couldn't have ended our trip to the historical site any better. Dad ordered the urban cowboy bagel sandwich and I ordered a build your own sandwich. The portions were balanced and the quality excellent. I dislike too much cream cheese on a bagel but here the ratios were just right.

Excellent bagels. Not just "good... for South Dakota", but actually overall amazing. They have crisp, lightly blistered crusts with soft, chewy insides. The bagels come in about two dozen different flavors, the cream cheese in over a dozen. There are six kinds of coffee. The store itself is bright and clean, with a wide variety of bottled drinks. The bathroom was spotless. Stopping and relaxing here was just what I needed after a crappy night of camping in a thunderstorm. I had a roast beef sandwich with cucumber-dill cream cheese, gouda, and sprouts. The beef was flavorful and the cream cheese was inspired. My friend got a Hogs n' Chicks sandwich, which is eggs, bacon, and a slice of cheese PLUS scallion cream cheese. Again, a really interesting and delicious combination. We got some additional bagels to go and they were all perfect: Great Grains, a dense, nutty wholegrain bagel, and Vanilla Nut, with walnuts and what tasted like real vanilla. We also tried a sample of a White Chocolate bagel, which was quite good despite the fact I don't like white chocolate! They don't fall into the trap of trying to make their sweet bagels doughnut-like: the bagel dough itself is flavored but the crust is plain and delicious, without a bunch of sticky goo on it. Many bakeries try to just roll plain bagels in sugary toppings, which is totally inferior. When we visited, a friendly elderly couple struck up a conversation with us in line: how we liked South Dakota, where were we staying. They turned out to be the owner's parents, and they were so charming I hope they are there every day to greet customers. I will, without question, eat here again when I am back in Rapid City. I wonder what's up with the Peter Tork (of The Monkees) shrine in the back, though....

One of our favorite pastimes is finding good bakeries wherever we go. We saw a sign for this bagel store while driving to Mt. Rushmore at night and decided we will come back in the morning. A local bakery that serves great bagels. We got a variety of bagels and they were all excellent. I was ready to pay the bill after getting about 6 bagels, and 2 ice lattes and the bill was around $8. I exclaimed "That's it?" and the guy looked at me as if I come from another planet. Look man, you have no idea how they suck our blood in Chicago with the taxes and all. Just be happy I was eager to spend more money. The ice latte tasted somewhat burnt. I guess the coffee beans were roasted too much.

Seriously delicious bagels -- and so many types to try. I loved the Spinach Parmesan bagel with Cheddar (Jalapeño) Pepper cream cheese. And they let me get two different types of cream cheese on my bagel since I couldn't make up my mind. Wonderful service, free wifi, and a laid back atmosphere.

Yum! We ate here on our way from Badlands NP to Mt. Rushmore and it was well worth the stop! The bagels were fresh, there were lots of bagel flavor options, and their homemade cream cheeses were delicious! I also liked that they didn't pile on tons of cream cheese. I don't like when I am eating a little bagel with my cream cheese.

OK, maybe I was a little harsh...we went back and found out that they sell bags of 6 1-day old bagels for $2, and bags of 6 2-day old bagels for $1. Now that's a steal, and the bagels will stay good for a few days. So maybe just grab those instead of the 500% more expensive fresh bagels.

Awful. As someone with a food allergy, I would not recommend this place. The staff does not understand the concept of cross-contamination. I specifically told them not to use a knife that was covered in peanut butter. So what does the girl behind the counter do...she wipes all the knives, including the one with the peanut butter, with the same rag. I think some basic food safety retraining is in order here. I wouldn't be so mad about this if the same thing hadn't happened to me two years ago. I literally had to tell the staff three or four times how not to get peanut butter onto my bagel. Also, this is the only bagel place that I can recall that has this problem. So, it's not like I'm unfairly calling themout for something other places do. Do not go here if you have allergies. They either do not care or are unaware of how to handle the situation properly.

Hands down the best bagels I have tried anywhere! Nice and soft (not too chewy) with a great crispy outside.

Absolutely loved this place. Went back a second time. Accommodated our child's old allergy and had awesome vegan cookies. Safe for her allergy. Bagels were great and cream cheese awesome.

Very good lox bagel, pretty pricey for its non-contemporary environment. Free internet; saw an old PC on a desk; sells its name brand clothing tops, as like a golf shop; couple cozy couches and free magazine in addition to several tables.

Best bagels outside of NY. Crispy outside and chewy inside with amazing flavors to choose from. Fresh homemade cream cheese spreads and a delicious whipped peanut butter. We were visiting Rapid City and made this our breakfast stop each day, since we weren't too impressed with any of the other restaurants in the area. Service is great and quick. Coffee was good too (so happy to see "sugar in the raw").

Found this on yelp while looking for breakfast. I loved the atmosphere, staff was very friendly and the bagels were fantastic. I had one in a breakfast sandwich while the rest of the family had bagels in cream cheese. Definite keeper and for this town, an excellent bargain. We will go back again this morning on our way out of town.

Great place to stop and pick up some bagels for the road before hitting Mt. Rushmore (which is on the way). Excellent variety of bagels and schmear.
